ST. LOUIS, Mo – It’s National Voter Registration Day and the St. Louis County Board of Elections encourages eligible county voters to register to vote. 

To vote in St. Louis County you must:

  • Be 18 years old by Election Day 

  • Be a U.S. citizen

  • Be a St. Louis County resident 

People who cannot vote but meet the above include:

  • Those who’ve been judicially declared adjudicated or incapacitated

  • Currently imprisoned 

  • On probation or parole for a felony conviction

  • Previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor connected to voting are ineligible 

If you’ve moved or changed your name, you’ll want to check your voter registration. Voters can look at their registration status using the Missouri Secretary of State’s voter search tool.

For the Nov. 5 General Election, including voting on who the next United States’ president will be, the deadline to register is Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. 

If you’re not registered yet, you may register in person at your Election Authority Office or receive the application for voter registration online on the Secretary of State’s website. Voters may also find voter registration applications at a Department of Motor Vehicles office or other state agencies providing service to the public.
