ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — St. Louis County’s Department of Revenue is preparing to open the Senior Property Tax Freeze application in a few weeks.

Residents can visit the program’s website and begin gathering documents needed for the online application process, according to a press release.

An online application portal will be available in a few weeks on the county’s website. Mailed in or dropped off paper documents will not be accepted.

“St. Louis County is committed to an excellent customer service experience,” St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page said.

“To ensure this, we have added staff and are expanding our office space. This will allow us to better assist residents with any questions they may have about the program or application process.”

Additional staff has been hired by the Department of Revenue to handle applications and answer questions from residents, according to the press release.

For the anticipated high volume of applications, additional office space will be at Northwest Crossings, West County and South County offices.

Residents also are encouraged to check out the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Senior Property Tax Freeze website.

The application deadline is June 30, 2025.
