Classical music fans will enjoy the grass and open air of Art Hill at Forest Park in St. Louis while listening to favorites including Beethoven and Mozart

Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m., no ticket required.

Thousands are expected to hear works from Mozart, Beethoven, John Phillip Souza and John Williams among others as the Orchestra previews a bit of what patrons will hear this season along with an Armed Forces Salute.

There will also be food trucks and activities for kids, capped off by fireworks over the Grand Basin.

After last year’s downpour, the orchestra recommends signing up concert updates on their website.

Conductor Stéphane Denève tell Spectrum News it is one of his favorite events of the year.

He is hoping that the nice weather will help bring out more than the nearly 20,000 from last year.
