Harris-Stowe State University has put its Dean of Education on administrative leave, following allegations that she tampered with hundreds of student documents during her time as education department chair at St. Charles Community College.

Nunn-Faron was hired by the University on July 1, and had worked for St. Charles Community College from 2013 to 2024.

In a statement provided by Kristen Harris, the University's communications director, she says the University was not informed of any investigation or pending charges during Nunn-Faron's hiring process.

"We maintain rigorous standards for all faculty and staff to ensure the integrity of our institution and the quality of education we provide to our students," the statement reads. "In light of these serious allegations, Dr. Nunn-Faron has been put on a leave of absence pending our internal investigation. We are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards."

According to court documents, the St. Charles Community College's IT department had discovered that more than 450 internal files had been deleted under Nunn-Faron's login. Police say that during the subsequent investigation, it was discovered that Nunn-Faron contacted IT for assistance moving files to an external hard drive.

Police say that on July 23, the hard drive was turned over to the college by Nunn-Faron's attorney.

Nunn-Faron is now charged with a misdemeanor count of tampering with computer data.
