ST. LOUIS — From live music to eating a variety of mac and cheese, there are several events happening in the St. Louis area this weekend, Aug. 10-11.

Swifty Fun Run

A Taylor Swift themed fun run is Saturday at Creve Coeur Park beginning at 7 a.m.

Fans and fitness enthusiasts can celebrate the famous pop star by participating in a one-mile, 5k, 10k or 13.1-mile race while wearing Taylor Swift inspired attire.

130th annual Block Party Weekend

Union Station will host the 130th annual Block Party Weekend.

Yoga and live musical performances will take place throughout Saturday with a Market Mile Run and Post-Race Party on Sunday.

The Armory STL will host a Mac & Cheese Fest Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 9th annual Blues at the Arch Festival is Saturday at the Gateway Arch National Park beginning at 11 a.m.

The free event will feature live performances, family-friendly activities, interactive exhibits and more.

Blues night featuring Anthony Gomes in St. Charles is Saturday starting at 6 p.m.

The event is located on Second Street in Frenchtown with food trucks and live music starting at 7 p.m.

Dogs & Dawgs

Zoomies Pet Café will host a Dogs & Dawgs event Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will feature a grilled hot dog bar, doggie ice cream, bone broth flights for dogs, outdoor dog pools and more.

Ticket proceeds will benefit local rescues, including Speak Rescue and Sanctuary.

Sunflower viewings

There are two places in the St. Louis area to experience sunflowers as they are in full bloom. 

Visitors can head to Weldon Spring Conservation Area in Defiance and Columbia Bottom Conservation Area in Spanish Lake, just north of St. Louis, to see the tall, bright yellow flowers.

Musical fans can enjoy “Newsies” at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center through Aug. 25.
