ST. LOUIS—A Heat Advisory has been issued for Tuesday and it may have voters rethinking when they want to cast their ballot in Missouri’s primary election. 

Temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 90s with a possible heat index of 105 degrees.

Polls in Missouri open at 6 a.m. Temperatures around St. Louis will be in the mid 70s in the morning. At lunchtime, the temperatures could be in the 90s. When the polls close at 7 p.m., you can expect temperatures to be in the upper 80s. 

If you are voting in St. Louis County, you can check the number of voters in line before heading to the polls. This may help you cut down on the time you are waiting in the potential heat depending on how your polling place is set up. 

In St. Louis County, you can vote at any polling precinct on Election Day. In St. Louis City, voters can cast ballots at 65 different locations regardless of your assigned precinct.
