ST. LOUIS —  One of the two males who escaped the Juvenile Detention Center last week is still at large, according to authorities.

Two males, aged 15 and 16, escaped July 4 around 2:10 p.m. from the Juvenile Detention Center at 3847 Enright Avenue, according to a press release.

Detention staff pursued them immediately. They apprehended the 15-year-old nearby the detention center and followed the 16-year-old into a neighborhood but were unable to apprehend him.

The 15-year-old was certified as an adult on first-degree robbery and drug possession charges Feb. 21, according to the press release.

The 16-year-old, who is still at large, has pending charges in juvenile court of first-degree burglary, first-degree tampering and resisting/interfering with arrest.

The victims in both cases have been notified.
