It’s almost the United States of America’s birthday and the Fourth of July celebrations have already begun. Throughout the region on both sides of the Mississippi River, there will be many public events and fireworks shows to celebrate Independence Day.

For those that opt to shoot off their own fireworks, there are communities that allow so legally but remember to keep safety at the forefront.

  • Eureka, MO, Six Flags’ July 4th Celebration: Fireworks begin at 9:05 p.m.
  • Granite City, IL, Patriots in the Park: 5K Run/walk, car show, vendor fair, and co-ed softball.
  • O’Fallon, MO, Heritage and Freedom Fest: Festival grounds, carnival, dino encounters, and Rocky the T-Rex meet and greets. Fireworks Spectacular at 10:15 p.m.
  • St. Charles, MO Riverfest: Live music, carnival, children’s activities, and fireworks begins at 9:20 p.m.
