The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) announced three lanes of eastbound Interstate 270 near route 367 will be closed for eight hours a day starting this weekend.
Drivers approaching Pershall Bridge started seeing the delays as MODOT crews began work on repairing Pershall Bridge on Thursday. Last year, a dump truck struck Pershall Bridge, damaging a girder.
The construction will take place on June 21, 24, 25, and 26 (weekdays) from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closure will reoccur until the planned repairs are completed. During these hours, MODOT expects congestion and slower traffic to intensify. The repairs will not impede motorists from exiting to route 367.
