Heat Up St Louis is helping cool down residents at risk this summer, thanks to partnerships with Ameren Missouri and other organizations. During summertime Heat Up STL refers to themselves as "Cool Down St. Louis."

With temperatures soaring to the mid 90s this week, they’re offering aid to seniors, individuals with disabilities, low income households and others while supplies last.

One initiative, Ameren Missouri’s “Keeping Cool” program, provides up to five bill credits for $50 from May through September. The income guidelines are up to 250% of the federal poverty level. Ameren also has a “Keeping Current” program that helps make residents’ energy bill more affordable year-round

Here is a link for more information on the program.
