ST. LOUIS — From carnival rides to greeting furry friends, there are several events happening in the St. Louis area this weekend, May 18-19.

Wentzville Days

The Wentzville Days Fair and Music Festival is Saturday from noon to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. 

The free community event features food, drink and craft vendors, live music, a carnival and more.

Bark in Tower Grove Park

The 29th annual Bark in Tower Grove Park is set for Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. presented by Purina.

The event includes a 5K race, a one-mile walk and a pet festival. Registration includes a Bark in the Park T-shirt, a Purina goodie bag and all festival activities. 

Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Missouri's Animal Cruelty Task Force. For more information, visit the park’s website.

Gaming at the library

Children can participate in a fun and interactive gaming experience Saturday at the St. Louis County Library Weber Road Branch from noon to 4 p.m. 

The newest consoles, board games and virtual reality activities will be offered. The program is tailored to all skill levels

Annie Malone May Day Parade

The 114th annual Annie Malone May Day Parade is set for Sunday starting at 1 p.m. in downtown St. Louis.

The parade has grown to be the second largest African-American parade in the U.S., according to the organization’s website, with more than 3,500 participants and 30,000 spectators. 

Proceeds from the parade help fund the Annie Malone Children & Family Services organization.

Chinese Culture Days

Chinese Culture Days will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Missouri Botanical Garden from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will feature Chinese cultural performances, art, music, history and authentic cuisine.
