ST. LOUIS — A new Missouri program aimed to help families buy groceries for their school-aged children over the summer is pending approval.

Eligible families would receive “Missouri SuN Bucks,” under the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) program.

It is a one-time payment of $120 per child via an electronic benefit transfer or EBT card, according to DSS.

Families who are on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or temporary assistance (TA), can log into their online account to update their address if they have moved in preparation for the launch of the program.
