ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival will return later this month in Forest Park, which will feature the beloved comedy “As You Like It,” starring St. Louis natives.

Last year’s Shakespeare in the Park event drew 31,000 guests throughout the run of the production, according to a press release.

This year’s performances will run from May 29 through June 23, Tuesday-Sunday at 8 p.m. Admission is free with reserved seating available for purchase.

Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” is directed by Nancy Bell and leading the cast is St. Louis native Caroline Amos in the role of Rosalind, according to the press release.

St. Louis native Greg Cueller will play Oliver, Christian Thompson as Orlando, Jasmine Cheri Rush as Celia, Ricki Franklin as Touchstone and Wali Jamal as Jaques.

Other local standouts who will bring their unique flair to their characters include Molly Wennstrom, Kathryn Bentley, CB Brown, Michelle Hand, Isaiah Henry, Joneal Joplin, Joel Moses and Bianca Sanborn.

Pro-wrestler Lenny Mephisto from the Metro-East will make his theatrical stage debut as Charles, in addition to Beth Bomabara as Aimens.
