ST. LOUIS — From running a marathon to seeing the new 1904 World’s Fair Exhibit, there are many events happening this weekend, April 26-28.

Kia software clinics

If Kia owners are still worried about their vehicles being stolen, the automobile company will host free software clinics in St. Louis this weekend.

Software upgrades will be installed for Kia owners.

The company has partnered with three St. Louis car dealerships to put on the events that will take place at Busch Stadium, 608 S. Broadway, on Friday and Saturday, and Chesterfield Mall, 291 Chesterfield Center, on Sunday.

Ballpark Village

Ballpark Village will mark its 10-year anniversary this weekend. Adjacent to Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village houses over 20 premier dining, entertainment and retail venues.

Friday will kick off a weekend full of events in celebration of the milestone anniversary. Some events include a concert by country star Brett Young, a bar crawl with live music, a Cardinals watch party, food and specials and more.

Greater St. Louis Marathon

The Greater St. Louis Marathon is set for Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. in Downtown. Drivers can expect significant street and highway ramp closures due to the event.

There will be I-44, I-64 I-55 ramp closures beginning as early as 5 a.m. Ramps will reopen by noon at the latest.

The following will be closed Saturday for the marathon:

  • Route 30 from Russell to Chouteau will be closed from 5-10 a.m.
  • The ramp from westbound I-44 to Gravois (Exit 290A) will be closed from 6-10 a.m.
  • The ramp from eastbound I-64 to Market/Barnard (Exit 37A), the ramp from northbound I-55 to Russell and the ramp from Gravois and Geyer to northbound I-55 will be closed from 6-11 a.m.
  • The ramp from westbound I-64 to Forest Park Avenue (38A), the ramp from Market to westbound I-64, Route D at 20th Street and Route 100 from Broadway to Compton will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon.

New exhibit 

The grand opening of the Missouri History Museum’s newest 1904 World’s Fair exhibit is set for Saturday. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 9:45 a.m. followed by an abundance of indoor and outdoor activities.

The new exhibit features more than 200 artifacts, such as ruby glass that people bought as souvenirs, construction equipment used to build the Fair, the desk of the president of the Fair and more.

It also includes hundreds of photos, original artwork and historical commentary from partners across the St. Louis community.

The center of the exhibit is a 1:400 scale model of the 1904 World’s Fair fairgrounds that shows visitors the enormity of the 1,200-acre exhibition.

National Dance Week

The 25th annual National Dance Week in St. Louis starts Saturday at the Kirkwood Performing Center. The free outdoor event will feature 50 performing dance troupes.

Audiences can enjoy ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, Irish, African, Mexican Folklore, Middle Eastern, clogging and Indian performances.

Beginning at noon, the 2024 NDW Honorary Dance Company and The Big Muddy Dance Company will perform. Some of the other participating dance troupes include Ballet 314, WU Dance Collective, Lindenwood University, Karlovsky & Company Dance, Dances of India and NEWSAM Aerial Dance.
