ST. LOUIS—The St. Louis Cardinals have released the team’s opening day 26-man roster for the 2024 season, which starts Thursday when the club faces the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Pitchers: (right/left): Ryan Fernandez-RHP, Giovanny Gallegos-RHP, Kyle Gibson-RHP, Ryan Helsley-RHP, Andrew Kittredge-RHP, Matthew Liberatore-LHP, Lance Lynn-RHP, Steven Matz-LHP, Miles Mikolas-RHP, Riley O’Brien-RHP, Andre Pallante-RHP, JoJo Romero-LHP and Zack Thompson-LHP
Catchers: Willson Contreras and Iván Herrera
Infielders: Nolan Arenado, Matt Carpenter, Brandon Crawford, Brendan Donovan, Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Gorman and Masyn Winn;
Outfielders: Alec Burleson, Victor Scott II, Michael Siani and Jordan Walker;
The club begins the 2024 season with six players on the injured list: P Sonny Gray, P, Keynan Middleton, P Drew Rom, OF/IF Tommy Edman, OF Lars Nootbaar and OF Dylan Carlson.
Miles Mikolas gets the opening day starting pitching assignment against the Dodgers, who will have Tyler Glasnow on the mound.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:10 CT. The game will be carried on Bally Sports Midwest and 1120 KMOX-AM.
