ST. LOUIS—For the second consecutive year, the St. Louis Battlehawks will open its home spring football slate with a matchup against the Arlington Renegades, this time in the newly formed United Football League following the merger of the XFL with the USFL.
The Battlehawks open the season March 30 against the Michigan Panthers at Ford Field before the home opener at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis against Arlington on April 6.
The 10-game regular season features six conference games–teams from the XFL are in the XFL Conference, and four games against USFL Conference foes. Both leagues had teams representing Houston. The UFL decided to use the XFL’s team name but put the franchise in the USFL Conference.
All St. Louis games will be broadcast on FOX, ABC or ESPN and streamed online.

The top two teams with the best record in each conference will play in conference championship games on June 8-9 with a UFL Championship game scheduled for Sunday June 16.
The league has not announced a venue for the UFL Championship game.
UFL teams will train and practice in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and travel to game sites, using the model the XFL operated under as it returned to play in 2023 following a three-year hiatus.
Training camps open later this month. While the Battlehawks are bringing back many players from last year's team that just missed making the playoffs, quarterback A.J. McCarron's status remains unclear. He finished the NFL regular season on the roster for the Cincinnati Bengals. Head Coach Anthony Becht has expressed confidence in the team's other quarterbacks, Nick Tiano and Manny Wilkins.
