ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo.—Prosecutors have charged a second man with murder for shooting a Clayton resident in the early morning hours of Nov. 13.

On Tuesday, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Darrion A. Johnson, 18, of Pagedale with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Johnson is not in custody, and Clayton police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Trenell Johnson, 18, faces identical counts.

Investigators say Joshua Harris saw what appeared to be someone trying to break into his wife's vehicle parked on Wydown. Police say Harris confronted the suspects and video showed several shots being fired from a white Chrysler 300, resulting in Harris' death.

According to court documents, police say shots came from both the passenger and driver’s side of the vehicle, and that surveillance video showed Darrion Johnson driving the vehicle to his workplace Nov. 12 and then on the morning of the shooting. Cell phone records also connect him to being in the area at the time of the fatal shooting near Wydown and Hanley.

Investigators have previously said that Trennell Johnson was spotted with a gun in his hands several blocks from the victim's home about 10 to 15 minutes before the shooting.

A St. Louis County Judge set a $500,000.00 cash bond for Darrion Johnson. Trenell Johnson is being held without bond. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Dec. 11.

Trenell Johnson was charged in St. Louis County Circuit Court earlier this year with tampering with a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing.

On March 14, police say Johnson was driving a stolen vehicle in the Kinloch area and fled from police before hitting an occupied Metro bus. During a foot chase, police say Johnson displayed a pistol but was disarmed and taken into custody.

He was held on $30,000 bond but was released after the Bail Project posted 10% of that amount or $3,000, over the objection of prosecutors. The judge in that case revoked his bond following the charges in the Clayton homicide.

Clayton police are asking anyone with information on Darrion Johnson’s whereabouts to call (314) 290-8425 and if anyone sees him, to call 911.
