ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo.—The Best Buy on Manchester Road in west St. Louis County will close its doors for business this Saturday, Oct. 28, according to the company.

A Best Buy spokesperson tells Spectrum News the company has not renewed the lease for that store.

Earlier this year, the company announced closing 20 to 30 stores, expanding its outlet stores from 19 to 25 and implement eight remodels at large format experience stores, according to an earnings call transcript.

The company also said during the call that it is continuing to adjust to the shift to digital shopping. During the fiscal year ‘24, the company said it is improving its merchandising presentation since online shopping has resulted in lower need to hold as much inventory on the shopping floor.

Best Buy also says it is working to more efficiently allocate its labor costs since higher online sales have resulted in a decline in physical store traffic and sales.

With the closure of the Manchester location, there are at least six other locations in the St. Louis area including a Best Buy Outlet in Bridgeton.
