ST. LOUIS — MetroLink will not operate between the Central West End and Union Station this weekend due to rail maintenance work.

Customers will be transported by MetroLink bus shuttles on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday June 18, during the planned service disruption, according to a press release.

The bus shuttles will operate between the Central West End, Cortex, Grand, Union Station and Civic Center MetroLink Stations. Trains outside of the area will have regularly scheduled weekend service.

Transit riders traveling through this area over the weekend should add an extra 20 minutes to their commutes, according to the press release.

“Westbound riders are encouraged to exit the train at the Civic Center Station to catch the bus shuttles to the Grand, Cortex and Central West End Stations. Westbound customers whose destination is Union Station should remain on the train at Civic Center and exit the train upon arrival at Union Station,” the press release states.

Regular service will resume Monday, June 19.
