The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office said Tuesday that it had charged Christopher Harper, 51, of St. Louis with murder, armed criminal action, burglary and assault charges stemming from a St. Peters, Mo. shooting early Monday that left one person dead and two others injured.

Harper is accused of shooting two female victims, including a 13-year-old girl and a 45-year-old woman, and killing a 57-year-old man at a home on the 1600 block of Country Acres Drive just before 2 a.m. Monday. Harper is believed to be a boyfriend of the 45-year-old woman.

Charges arose when St. Peters Police Department received a call at approximately 1:40 AM on May 22 for a shooting inside of ahome on the 1600 block of Country Acres Drive. When officers arrived, they located three gunshot victims inside the house. Two female victims, ages 13 and 45 years old, both received gunshot wounds and were immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The male victim, 57 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Court records describe a living arrangement with family disagreements over money between the 45 year-old woman and the 57 year-old man, who were siblings. The documents also state the man had just gained control of their parents' finances through a conservatorship and power of attorney and had filed an eviction notice against the woman.

"A home security camera that was in the residence during the shooting shows a large build individual enter from the lower level and move to the upper level of the residence. The suspect is observed wearing a mask to cover his lower face, a long sleeve shirt, jeans with a label on the belt line which are loose fitting and fall below the waist, dark shoes, and is carrying a small frame revolver in his left hand," according to a probable cause statement from St. Peters Police.

Other surveillance cameras in the neighborhood showed clearer images connecting Harper to the scene, authorities said in court documents.

Harper denied any involvement during a police interview.

He's being held without bond.
