Bass Pro Shops in Sunset Hills says it is planning to open in early May. A grand opening has not been announced but construction of the store is underway.
Spectrum News stopped by the location at Lindbergh Boulevard and Watson Road Tuesday afternoon and crews were busy adding a sign, working on landscaping and building displays inside the store.
The company is still looking to hire several full-time and part-time positions and will host a hiring event at the Holiday Inn in Sunset Hills on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The retailer says individuals who want to share their passion of the outdoors with others are strongly encouraged to apply in advance by visiting www.basspro.com/careers and selecting the Sunset Hills location. During the hiring event, the company will conduct interviews and extend job offers on-site.
