ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Botanical Garden will have a new exhibit featuring thousands of colorful pieces of blown glass beginning this spring.

The new art experience, “Chihuly in the Garden 2023,” will debut May 2 through Oct. 15, according to the Garden’s website. The new exhibit was curated specifically for the Missouri Botanical Garden.  

“We are pleased to host the work of the world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly in this stunning exhibition uniting art and nature,” according to an Instagram post.

“With thousands of pieces of blown glass forms in 18 dramatic installations throughout the Garden’s grounds, ‘Chihuly in the Garden 2023’ presents these artworks on a grand scale."

The Garden is also home to a few other Chihuly pieces. The collection includes a blue chandelier made of 928 pieces of glass that now hangs in the Climatron and  onion-shaped glass that floats in the reflecting pool during the warmer months.
