ST. LOUIS–Shoppers hoping to look for Black Friday holiday deals at the newest Bass Pro Shops location in the St. Louis area will have to wait until next year.

The location under construction in the Shoppes at Sunset Hills shopping center at 3600 S. Lindbergh Blvd. is now slated to open in late April or mid-May, according to Sunset Hills City Administrator Brittany Gillett.

The St. Louis Business Journal previously reported that the footprint for the project had expanded last month, with a deal to add roughly 17,500 square feet to the 75,000 square foot plan. Bass Pro Shops will now occupy the entire shopping center with The Tile Shop’s decision to leave the property.

Bass Pro had originally hoped to be operational in Sunset Hills in time for the 2022 holiday season.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.
