ST. LOUIS–St. Louis CITY SC unveiled its first primary kit showing off its new jersey. The kit, the standard equipment worn by players, includes the club’s vibrant and signature CITY red with navy and yellow accents to represent the St. Louis flag. The kit will be worn by St. Louis CITY SC players during the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.
“It was important for the design of our inaugural jersey to reflect who we are as a club and as a community: proud, contemporary, and not afraid to stand out. The Arch, the flag, the colors…we love that it feels unapologetically St. Louis, today but also with an eye towards our future.” said Lee Broughton, St. Louis CITY SC’s Chief Brand Architect.
Some of those features include a geometric pattern echoing the steel plates on the Gateway Arch on the left hand-side. The St. Louis flag is also sewn on the bottom hem. The jersey also features branding of the club’s STLMade founding partners, including Purina and BJC HealthCare.
The jerseys are made with 100% recycled materials and also include the new Apple TV sleeve patch. The MLS and Apple begin a 10-year partnership in 2023.
The unveiling coincides with the opening of CITYPARK, the home of St. Louis CITY SC. Wednesday marks the inaugural game for St. Louis CITY2. The players in that game will be wearing different jerseys but with some similar features.
