ST. LOUIS–It will truly be a “Red October” weekend at Busch Stadium starting Friday afternoon, when the Cardinals host the Philadelphia Phillies in the Wild Card round to start the Major League Baseball postseason.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:07pm, and the game can be seen on ABC and heard on KMOX radio. A "limited amount" of tickets remain.

Here’s a look at what fans can expect before the game.

  • Gates open at 10:30am
  • The Cardinals will host a pep rally from 9am-11am on the Missouri Lottery Stage in Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village. There will be music and entertainment, with appearances by  DJ Todd Thomas, Cardinals Organist Dwayne Hilton, Fredbird and Team Fredbird. Cardinals alums will also be on hand with prizes and ticket giveaways.
  • The first 40,000 fans at Busch Stadium with a ticket will get a Cardinals rally towel.
  • Pregame ceremonies will include the introductions of both teams, Color Guard and flag presentation by Fort Leonard Wood, with the National Anthem performed by Fort Leonard Wood’s 399th Army Band. Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith will throw out the first pitch.
