ST. LOUIS – Part of I-270 in north St. Louis County will be closed this weekend so crews can tear down the old Lindbergh Bridge. Traffic impacts are expected to be heavy in that area and people are encouraged to find an alternate route.
Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19 through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, I-270 will be closed in both directions at Lindbergh for the work.
Both eastbound and westbound I-270 traffic will detour by using the Lindbergh exit and traveling through the newly constructed signalized intersections before driving back onto I-270.
The bridge is being removed as part of the MoDOT’s $278 million I-270 North Project.
