After months of will he, won’t he, the question political observers are asking of former President Donald Trump is ‘which one?’

Trump’s coveted endorsement in the GOP primary for the US Senate dropped late a Monday afternoon, less than 24 hours from when polls open, Trump announced he was endorsing "ERIC." The problem? There’s more than one Eric in the race.

Both Eric Greitens' and Eric Schmitt's campaigns have seized the endorsement, claiming it for themselves.

Greitens shared on social media that he had spoken with Trump Monday about the endorsement. At an evening event in Fenton, Schmitt told the crowd about the endorsement and told reporters that he had a phone conversation with the former President, but did not divulge details.

When asked if taking this route on an endorsement was potentially handing the race to U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler, Schmitt pointed to the fact that Trump said last month he specifically wouldn't endorse her.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
