ST. PETERS, Mo. – Stray Paws Rescue was flooded with heavy rain this morning and despite rescue efforts, several of their puppies did not survive.
First responders and the animal rescue workers were able to save 14 dogs from the building.
The rescue posted on Facebook that they are distraught and their hearts are breaking. They are asking for donations to fix the damage.
Central County Fire and Rescue also helped 11 people get out of the flood waters in that same neighborhood near Mid Rivers Drive. Eight people decided to stay in their homes.
Travers Auto Plaza also was inundated by flood waters. Employees tell Spectrum News that a lot of the vehicles there have damage.
