Becky Willeke is a longtime TV and digital producer for Spectrum News in St. Louis and Kansas City. She joined Spectrum News in February 2022, just days before the launch of Spectrum News in St. Louis.

Becky is a native of Connecticut and attended the University of Missouri for Journalism. Her career started at WLEX-TV in Lexington, Kentucky, where she learned to love horses, bourbon, and derby pie.

Her first official day in a St. Louis newsroom came while the Cardinals were playing in the 2006 World Series. She went on to cover two other World Series, the Ferguson unrest in 2014,and the Missouri Miracle. In 2016, her nightly newscast was nominated for an Emmy.

Since starting at Spectrum News, Becky has led her small, but seasoned team through several big stories including a school shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts, deadly flash flooding, and major elections.

When Becky isn’t searching for stories or checking the app, she is trying to wear out her two young dogs, Indy and Ella. While she grew up a Red Sox fan, she now cheers for the Cardinals and Mizzou Tigers. She also enjoys traveling, concerts, and trying new restaurants.
