A low pressure system will move across New England this weekend, bringing the potential for strong to severe storms on Sunday.
A cold front moving through Sunday afternoon will be capable of producing heavy rain, gusty winds and some hail. A level 3/5 severe threat is issued for Massachusetts and southern New England, and a level 2/5 threat is issues for the rest of New England.
Areas that receive downpours and locally heavy rainfall, especially further west, could see up to 1 to 2 inches of rainfall through the weekend. Closer to the coast, rainfall totals will generally stay below an inch.
