The first winter storm of 2024 dumped significant accumulations for many living in the Northeast over the weekend.

The highest amounts were reported just north and west of I-95, where the heaviest snow fell Saturday night into Sunday morning. Snowfall totals reaching near and even over a foot were measured across parts of the Hudson Valley, Massachusetts and into southern Maine.

Even though New York City saw some flakes and a wintry mix, snowfall totals remained under an inch, continuing its record-long snowless stretch. The last time totals measured an inch or more in Central Park was back in Feb. 2022.
