Officials have identified the persons allegedly involved in a Nov. 24 shooting in Belgrade.
Dispatchers received a call around 11 a.m. about a shooting at a residence at 15 Point Road, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Troopers and Belgrade Rescue and Delta Ambulance responded.
Christina Bell, 58, who lives at the residence, was flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries, according to Moss.
“She was later transported to a Boston hospital,” Moss said. “She is expected to survive.”
One man who had driven away from the residence was taken into custody by troopers without incident a short distance away on Guptill Road, Moss said. He is cooperating with the investigation.
Officials have identified him as Bell's son, 26-year-old Samuel Bell.
“He did not live at the residence with his parents,” Moss said. “Samuel Bell was arrested and transported to the Kennebec County Correctional Facility where he has been charged with attempted murder and elevated aggravated assault.”
