The Maine Warden Service is investigating the death of a 65-year-old Richmond man killed in an ATV crash in Dixmont on Saturday.
Patrick LaFlamme had gone hunting on his ATV Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.
LaFlamme’s friends searched for him when he did not return to camp for breakfast. They found LaFlamme’s body on a tote road about a mile off the Firetower Road.
“The initial investigation indicates that the ATV LaFlamme was driving rolled over on top of him, causing his death,” the release stated.
The Maine Warden Service was called to the scene and was assisted in its investigation by the Penobscot Sheriff’s Office, the Dixmont Fire Department, and Plymouth Fire and Rescue.
LaFlamme’s body was taken to Plummer Funeral Home in Augusta.
