Former President Bill Clinton will be in southern Maine Friday to stump for the Harris-Walz campaign.
Clinton will encourage Mainers to make plans to vote, according to an alert from the campaign.
The alert did not say when or where Clinton will campaign.
This will be the third high-profile surrogate to visit Maine on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. Walz’s wife, Gwen, visited Bangor and Portland in September and Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, visited Portland in late July.
Gwen Walz was scheduled to return to Maine, but the trip was canceled last week.
Recent polls in Maine indicate that Harris is likely to win three of the state’s four electoral votes, with Trump likely winning the 2nd Congressional District.
Election Day is Tuesday, and in Maine, Thursday is the last day to request an absentee ballot.
