The wife of Democratic vice presential nominee Tim Walz will be in Maine again next week, this time to focus on reproductive rights.

Gwen Walz, Minnesota’s first lady, visited Portland and Bangor in September, following a July visit to Portland by second gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is married to Vice President Kamala Harris.

Gwen Walz is expected to talk about the Democratic ticket’s plans to lower costs, protect abortion rights and strengthen democracy, according to the Harris-Walz campaign.

She is scheduled to be in Maine on Tuesday, although details about the visit have not yet been released.

In Bangor last month, Walz visited a bookstore to read to children and spoke to supporters at Democratic campaign headquarters.

She said the campaign slogan of New Way Forward will open doors for all Americans.

“Everyone has the freedom to build life that they choose,” she said during her Sept. 13 remarks. “Everyone who works hard can get ahead.”

During his Portland visit, Emhoff met with supporters of reproductive rights before giving a short speech to supporters at a distillery.
