WORCESTER, Mass. - Redemption Rock Brewing announced plans to close on Dec. 29 after six years of serving Worcester customers at its Shrewsbury Street location.
“Despite our best efforts, we simply haven’t been able to grow the business enough to remain open, and we’ve run out of time,” the company wrote on social media.
During its time in business, Redemption Rock was known for highlighting the work of local nonprofits, food trucks, vendors and other community partners, adopting the slogan ‘Beer for People’ and often holding events showcasing their efforts.
“For nearly six years, our community shared their lives with us,” they wrote. “Together, we created something unique and memorable. Those memories will live with us forever, and so will our gratitude for everyone who had a part in it.”
In October 2023, Spectrum News 1 visited Redemption Rock to highlight the company’s collaboration with Worcester-based nonprofit Casita Cultura Latina for a special beer ahead of their Dia de los Muertos festival. A portion of the money raised from sales went to the nonprofit’s festival.
