The town of Gray’s water district has issued a boil water order. The order comes after tests revealed levels of e. coli bacteria.

Gray Water District Superintendent Bill Gardner said the order will remain in effect until further notice. It will take several days for the district to clear out the bacteria.

Residents are being asked in the meantime to boil water for a minute before consuming.

Gray Fire Rescue was providing limited bottles of water Thursday until 4 p.m. at the fire station at 125 Shaker Road.
