Friday, July 7

Moxie Festival
Join Moxie lovers from Maine, the US and abroad at the one and only Moxie Festival. 2023 will be their biggest event ever as they rock out with three days of Peace, Love, and Moxie. The fun continues all weekend with the parade on Saturday. Find more details by clicking here.

Ossipee Valley Fair
This year's fair runs through July 9.  Go and enjoy everything from farmer olympics and pig calling to oxen pulling and a parade.  More information is available here.

Downtown Bangor Cornhole Competition
Celebrate summer and July First Friday with the Downtown Bangor 'Kickoff to Summer' Cornhole Tournament sponsored by Renewal by Andersen and presented by Benjamin's Pub.  The tournament will be held in Abbott Parking Lot on Harlow Street in downtown Bangor (across from the library). Wicked Cornhole will be running the tournament. More info and tickets click here.

Family Movie Nights | L.L.Bean Summer in the Park
Enjoy an exciting lineup of kid-friendly movies on a big outdoor screen. There will also be lawn games and local food trucks. More info here.

Saturday, July 8

Fort Gorges Sea Kayak Tour
This Civil War-era granite fort surrounded by water, is one of the most fascinating spots in Casco Bay, and it's only accessible by small boat. This three-hour trip is the best way to combine the experience of sea kayaking on the Maine coast with exploring one of the region's most interesting historic landmarks.  Click here to learn more.

2nd Annual Veteran's Appreciation Event
The folks at Rock Row invite you to an evening of live music from Roadhouse. Food, drinks availabl.  Complimentary meal & dessert go to the first 100 veterans in attendance. There will be a games area and activities for the little ones. A Drone Light Show over the famous 26-acre Rock Row Quarry to cap off the evening.  See below for more info. Admission is free and donations accepted.
6 – 9 p.m. 80 Main St., Westbrook.

Family Style Potluck Pig Roast
Old Crow Ranch hosts a family friendly gathering to eat good food and enjoy the summer together. Bring one potluck offering of 4-6 servings per family group attending, whatever you choose. They’ll be roasting up some of their pastured chickens and the main event: the ROAST PIG! For tickets and details, click here.

NEF 53: American Valor
New England Fights returns to the Merrill Auditorium for the first time since February 2020 with another night of MMA cagefighting action. Tickets and more details can be found here.

Steely Dead - A Sonic Fusion of Steely Dan and Grateful Dead
Steely Dead is a national touring band that has satisfied the curiosity of music lovers with their unique blend of Grateful Dead and Steely Dan. Comprised of four exceptionally talented musicians, Steely Dead has gained a dedicated following with their electrifying performances and soulful interpretations of classic tunes.  Tickets and more information is right here.

Moxie Day at Seashore Trolley Museum
This event has become a tradition over the years. The museum is hosting the New England Moxie Congress on today.  They will be sharing free sampoles of Moxie and Diet Moxie with all guests. You’ll also see all kinds of Moxie memorabilia from their personal collections. More Moxie info is here.

Chickadee Quilters’ Annual Show
The 42nd Annual Chickadee Quilt Show features over 100 quilts, a special children's exhibit, yard sale, and a silent auction, and café. A $7 donation at the door.  More information is available here.
