Willard Beach in South Portland is back open following a wastewater line break June 1, city officials announced.
Bacteria levels are now below the public safety threshold set by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.
The line break and heavy rain forced the city to keep the beach closed for several days.
“Beach closed” signs will be removed today, the city said.
