A winter storm that brought snow, freezing rain, ice and sleet throughout Maine on Monday appears to have caused few accidents or long-term power outages.

Early Tuesday morning, roads were still slick in Oxford, with the Lakes Region Maine Fire Rescue asking for help on Robinson Hill Road, which was reported to be “extremely icy,” according to Twitter.

Bangor schools reported a two-hour delay, while schools in Portland and Biddeford reported no delays or cancellations.

Bangor Superintendent James Tager cited “icy road conditions and continuing precipitation” as the reason for the delay, according to the school district website.

Other districts in Midcoast Maine, including in Bath and Rockland, also had cancellations or delays.

On Monday, the Maine State Police warned drivers to stay away from Route 1A in Mars Hill following a tractor-trailer crash, according to the police Facebook page.

Versant Power, which serves northern and eastern Maine, reported two active outages Tuesday morning and Central Maine Power reported 106 customers without power.

Of those in the CMP coverage area, 55 are in York County, 40 are in Lincoln, seven are in Androscoggin and four are in Sagadahoc, according to the company’s website.
