We’re counting down the days to All Hallows’ Eve with a list of spook-tacular events happening across the state.
Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly event or something with a scare factor, Spectrum News Maine has you covered.
Here are 14 wickedly fun events happening near you Oct. 22 - Oct. 26.
Halloween Extravaganza
2-6 p.m. at Webster Park
Head to Orono for a Halloween Extravaganza. From carving pumpkins to a costume contest, this event has it all. Social distancing will be enforced and masks are encouraged for attendees. This event is aimed for people 14-26 years old. For more information, check out the event’s Facebook page.
Trail of Terror at Aquaboggan Waterpark
Walk along the madness maze in the haunted woods during Aquaboggan Water Parks’ Trail of Terror. The “Banshee of the Boggan'' has changed things up since last year’s haunted walk and the scare factor is through the roof. Warning: If you don’t like clowns, this event is not for you. Trail organizers say “touching may occur from evil spirits that inhabit the woods — if you scream, they get more agitated and that is an understatement.” For tickets, click here.

Family Pumpkin Carving and Drive-In Movie
5-10 p.m. at the Orono YMCA
Enjoy some spooky Halloween-themed events that are suitable for the whole family. This outdoor event features family pumpkin carving and a special showing of “Hotel Transylvania” at the Family Drive-In. Go for one or stay for both. For directions and a full schedule of events, click here.
Farmington Fright Nights
7-10 p.m. at the Farmington Fairgrounds
Get ready to scream as you walk through three unique attractions at the Farmington Fairgrounds. Described as Maine’s premiere Halloween event, Farmington Fright Nights will take you through the ‘Cabin the Woods,’ where organizers say “what happens in the woods, stays in the woods.” You’ll get all the Pennywise vibes as you make your way through the ‘Carnevil of Chaos’ where clowns are aplenty. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance on the event’s website.

Fright Night on the Farm
You are invited to explore the Valley Farm at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, where darkness lurks around every corner. The corn maze will be open — with a few ghouls and goblins — for the brave to navigate by moonlight. If you make it out of the maze, wander down Farmyard Lane to explore the dark corners of the barn and learn what the critters of the family farmyard do when the night sets in. Saco Main Street Pumpkin Harvest Festival
11-4 p.m.
Ready for some fall fun? Head to the Saco Main Street for the 21st Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival in the historic downtown area. Featuring fun and games for kids, a trunk-or-treat area, costume contest, pie-eating contests, horse-drawn wagon rides and more. This event is suitable for all ages. Pumpkin Express
Hop aboard the Pumpkin Express in Unity for a train ride to a pumpkin patch to pick your very own jack-o-lantern. The first train departs from 21 Depot Street at 11 a.m. For tickets and additional departure times, click here.

Ghoulsport Halloween Festival
10 a.m.- 10 p.m. on Main Street in Bucksport
A paranormal parade, trunk-or-treat, a halloween dance, activities and more — the Halloween Festival in Bucksport is sure to be a scare! For a full schedule of events and directions to the event, click here
Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival
Noon-8 p.m. at L.L.Bean in Freeport.
A family favorite for nearly 20 years, have fun while raising money for Camp Sunshine. Featuring live music, children’s activities, a costume parade, family pumpkin carving and a whole lot more, there’s something for everyone. Drive-Boo 2021
1 p.m. at the Penobscot Theatre in Bangor.
The Penobscot Theatre Company is calling all goblins and ghosts to the second annual Drive-Boo. Celebrate the spooky season with this free and COVID-safe event. Cars will be directed to pull up in front of the marquee where costumed staff will deliver bagged candy to everyone inside the vehicle. Get in the Halloween spirit and dress up your car to enter into the car costume contest. The winner will win tickets to “Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play.” For event details, click here.
Fall-o-Ween Festival
3-5 p.m. at the Library Park Gazebo in Bath.
Join Patten Free Library and the teen library council for an afternoon of spooky fun. Music, candy, games and more. Bring your previously decorated or carved pumpkin and win a prize. Costumes are encouraged. This event is best for kids in grades 6-12.
Mid-Coast Maine Trail of Horror
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 5:30 p.m. on weekends at 26 Augusta Road in Washington.
Come one, come all, you're sure to have a wicked-good time. There are scare zones throughout, with animatronics, digital decorations, music, props and a whole lot more.

Walk Among the Shadows 2021 — Movers and Shakers of Eastern Cemetery
Thursdays to Saturdays, 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 21-24 and Oct. 28-31.
For eight dark nights, ghostly storytellers, some buried at Eastern Cemetery in Portland, will materialize in the cemetery to tell their own stories. For tickets, click here.
Moonlight Cinema Halloween Series: Hocus Pocus
5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Brick South Beer Garden at Thompson’s Point
You may have to leave work early for this event. Back by popular demand, Thompson’s Point presents the return of Moonlight Cinema with a family-friendly Halloween series. Get ready to yell “sisters” while watching the Disney classic “Hocus Pocus.” Enjoy a full bar, concessions and optional add-ons to your general admission tickets. You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and are allowed to pack a picnic. Organizers ask that you refrain from bringing any outside alcoholic beverages. Buy your tickets on Eventbrite.

Sea Dogs Halloween Stencils
Are you in need of some inspiration for carving your jack-o-lantern? This Halloween, show off your Sea Dogs pride by carving your very own Slugg O’ Lantern. Paint Your Own Mini Pumpkin Take-Home Kit
The Windham Public Library is offering Halloween take-home kits for little witches and warlocks to enjoy. Included in this week's kit will be everything you need to paint your own mini pumpkin, a pumpkin and a surprise. Stop in to the library anytime during regular hours to pick up your kit. Stream Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween
Feeling like a lazy bones? Have a scream of a night and watch some devilishly good movies during Freeform’s “31 Nights of Halloween.” Gather your coven and catch spell-binding entertainment from the comfort of your home.
