Friday, Sept. 3

Goat Yoga at Smiling Hill Farm 

Yes, you read that headline right. Part yoga and part goat-snuggling, this workout is all smiles at Smiling Hill Farm in Westbrook. Get your chakras in line with the help of baby goats and fellow yogis in a large outdoor pen. All levels are welcome to this beginner-friendly class. Cider and Cheese Festival 
Looking for a ‘Gouda’ event this weekend? Look no further than Maine Beer Cafe’s Cider and Cheese Festival. Head to Kittery this weekend to celebrate everything cider and cheese. Featuring 45 different ciders and cheese-inspired dishes, there’s something for everyone. The event starts at noon on Friday and runs through the weekend. Richard Boyd Art Gallery: From a Woman’s Perspective 
For the past six years, the Richard Boyd Art Gallery has featured paintings and sculptures created by female artists to commemorate Women’s Equality Day. The exhibit features over 25 works created by skilled female artists. The Peaks Island gallery is open to the public free of charge between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily through Sept. 29. First Friday Art Walk 
Take a leisurely stroll through the streets of Portland’s Old Port during this month’s First Friday Art Walk. The free self-guided tour brings you through art galleries, art studios, museums and alternative art venues. From 5-8 p.m. on Friday evening, Portland’s visual arts community opens its doors to the public to show the unique variety of Maine artists. To get a list of participating businesses, click here.

Saturday, Sept. 4

Seacoast Tours of Freeport — Lobstering Demo & Wildlife Cruise
Soak up the last moments of summer on a wildlife cruise through the islands of Casco Bay. Book your reservation with Seacoast Tours of Freeport and learn about Maine’s iconic lobsters while watching for seals, shore birds and other marine life. L.L. Bean Summer in the Park Concert Series — Fitz and The Tantrums 
What’s better than an outdoor concert over the holiday weekend? A free outdoor concert over the holiday weekend! You won’t want to miss this two-day music event kicking off with Fitz and The Tantrums on Saturday night in Freeport. The Los Angeles-based band recently released its fourth full-length album. Vintage Motorcycle Festival
Are you ready to rumble? Come hear the rumble Saturday and Sunday at Owls Head Transportation Museum’s Vintage Motorcycle Festival. The annual event attracts hundreds of antique motorcycles from all over New England. Reservations are not required to attend the event.

The Longest Yard Sale 
Is it really the longest yard sale? Judge for yourself this weekend. Take a scenic drive to Orr’s Head for the event hosted by the Orr’s Head Library. From household goods to antiques and collectibles, there is sure to be something that catches your eye. The event starts at 9 a.m. If you’re interested in selling, reserve a table in advance. 

Pairing Maine Craft Beer & Iconic Foods
Pairing Maine food with Maine beer is the theme at the Maine Tasting Center as the venue in Wiscasset hosts an interactive class taught by a certified beer server. Explore the ever-growing world of craft beer in Maine, with a focus on pairing beers with some of Maine’s most iconic foods. Enjoy a curated menu while learning about the state’s craft beer industry. Your ticket also includes a drink of your choosing in the Tasting Room following class. The class starts at 11 a.m. and is available only to adults 21 and older. Advance registration is required for all classes.

The Great State of Maine Air Show 
Watch the U.S. Navy Blue Angels take to the sky during The Great State of Maine Air Show in Brunswick. Buy your tickets today and enjoy the state’s most popular air show this weekend.
