Mallory Nichols has been forecasting the weather with Spectrum News since September 2013 and is forecast with the team in Maine.

Mallory moved around after graduating from North Carolina State University near her hometown. She’s delivered forecasts in Tennessee and South Carolina, Florida, and now Maine. Mallory loves tracking the life cycle of all weather.

Mallory recently received her master’s degree in emergency management to better prepare for delivering torrential weather forecasts. Mallory knows it’s so important to communicate through an entire weather event, including what’s going to happen, how to handle it, and how to recover afterward.

Mallory’s exemplary coverage has earned her a Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association and the Certification for Broadcast Meteorology from the American Meteorological Society. In addition, Mallory is the proud recipient of the Florida Emergency Preparedness Agencies Media Award in 2018. She has a personal interest in communicating information as effectively as possible.

In her free time, Mallory loves trying new foods — she is a self-proclaimed foodie. Mallory is a runner and has completed a few dozen half-marathons and recently completed her first full marathon.
