HONOLULU — Hear from Hawaii football's Dior Scott as he reflects on his time at Laney College and his feature on the Netflix original series "Last Chance U."
Scott, a wide receiver from Antioch, Calif., is in his third season with the Rainbow Warriors, looking to have a breakout season under the new leadership of Timmy Chang.
He was originally recruited under former head coach Todd Graham. The junior college transfer faced adversity with coaching changes and playing through the COVID-19 pandemic to be where he is today.
Scott played in four games as a backup in 2021, catching two passes for 35 yards and also returning a kick. He ended up redshirting the season.
The Netflix series featured Scott’s struggles on and off the field, with one of the biggest features being his goal of transferring to play Division I football. He mentioned an interest in the University of Hawaii and Scott is proud that his goal was achieved.
