Hawaii State Representative Mark Nakashima (HI-01) considers the improvements to Hilo Medical Center to be one of his biggest accomplishments while in office.

If Nakashima could pass any bill tomorrow, he would pass a bill to repair the roads and bridges in his district. He would also like his district to become more self-sufficient over the next five years.

Nakashima shares in his Know Your Electeds interview that if he could have lunch with any elected official, it would be Thomas Jefferson. His first job was farming watermelons in the summer.
