Hawaii State Senate Vice President Michelle Kidani enjoys working with the community in where she's lived and coached for many years. (HI-18) She finds working with her former players, their children, and even their grandchildren rewarding.
Kidani is the chairperson of the Hawaii Senate Education Committee. If she were to pass any bill tomorrow, it would be to more fairly compensate teachers for their work.
During her Know Your Electeds interview, she shared that the best advice she ever received was to "believe in yourself and find it in yourself to overcome things you are afraid of." Her first job was at a pineapple cannery.
