A much quieter weather day is on tap today with lots of sunshine and pleasant afternoon temperatures.
Clouds will begin to build in tonight, and a mainly cloudy sky is on the way tomorrow as a wedge scenario gets established. Some drizzle or occasional showers are possible in the midst of that wedge, especially north and west of I-85, and there will be a big spread in afternoon temperatures tomorrow from west to east.
The wedge will scour out Thursday, and our afternoon highs will really crank for the end of the week. In fact, some record high temperatures could be challenged by Friday and Saturday.
