AUSTIN, Texas — A car spotted on the side of the road Sunday in South Austin, was the result of a deadly single-car collision.

A passerby reported a car in a wooded area off 1000 S Mopac northbound at 9:58 a.m. Sunday morning. When EMS arrived, they discovered a woman’s body inside.
Officials say the driver lost control and slid into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as 27-year-old Cheyanne Sage Serrano.
Since the vehicle was found in a wooded area, it would have been difficult to see, especially at night.
