AUSTIN, Texas – Whether you are just visiting or call Austin home, there are multiple events this weekend to help you beat the heat.

Cool Summer Nights

On Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m., the first of three “Cool Summer Nights” will be held at the Bob Bullock Museum. The first event is a celebration of the “Rodeo!” exhibition on display. Attendees will learn about rodeos, stock shows and all things western. Check out exhibits, enjoy some music, and have photo booth fun, all for free!

Start your Saturday morning with the Juneteenth East Side Ride. The five-mile tour will stop at significant African-American landmarks in East Austin. You can BYOB, bring your own bike, or rent one through Austin B-Cycle.

The ride starts at 8 a.m. at Huston-Tillotson University. Afterwards bicyclists will be treated to a Texas favorite, breakfast tacos!

Kid's Night Out

Saturday night parents can enjoy a night on the town after dropping off their kids at Night Out at the Cedar Park YMCA. Kids will enjoy a night of friends, fun, food and the movie "Sing."

Austin Ice Cream Festival
