A man who smuggled an 18-wheeler across the border that was packed with undocumented immigrants, ten of whom died, is scheduled to be sentenced this week.

James Bradley, 60, is scheduled to appear in federal court Friday, March 23. Bradley pleaded guilty in October after initially pleading not guilty soon after the incident.

Last July, police found nearly 40 people stuffed inside Bradley's truck when he stopped at a southside San Antonio Walmart. Investigators believe up to 200 people could have been in the trailer when it crossed the border in Laredo.

A second man pleaded guilty to charges in the same case earlier in March.
